Bursaspor head coach Mustafa Er has allayed fears over Kelechi Iheanacho’s fitness following his side’s victory over Keçiörengücü in the Turkish 1. Lig.

The 30-year-old was on the scoresheet for the 12th consecutive game as the Green Crocodiles secured a 4-2 victory over Keçiörengücü last weekend.

The former Leicester City forward scored his side’s third goal as they cruised to an impressive victory.

Iheanacho received treatment from the medical team before leaving the pitch in the 69th minute.

His substitution raised concerns among the club’s fans, but Er has disclosed that it was a precautionary measure.

“Kelechi has a little problem. We did not want to push too hard,” Er told Turkish outlet Bursahakimiyet.

“He wanted to continue, but we did not want to risk it. We were already ahead 4-2, and we had the score.”
