More hardship coming, Nigerians will cry – Primate Ayodele prophesies

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has prophesied that there will be more economic hardship in the country which will cause Nigerians to wail in agony.

He said this in a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin on Monday, April 15, 2024.

According to Ayodele, foodstuffs will increase, there will be a hike in electricity tariffs, inflation will rise, among other things in the country.

He applauded President Bola Tinubu for the measures put in place to strengthen the Naira, however, he noted that the government is yet to tackle the economic hardship ravaging Nigeria.

Primate Ayodele stated that the situation of the country will become worse if the government fails to improve agriculture and ensure Nigeria produces and refines their own petroleum products.

He said: "I want to commend the federal government for the improvement experienced in the value of our Naira. The government has done tremendously well and indeed, deserves to be appreciated. The act saved Nigeria from a huge crisis.

"However, things are still going to be very expensive, there will still be more inflation in the country. The best things the government can do are to look for ways we can be producing and refining our oil here in order to improve the economy and improve agriculture.

“There are some hidden things Nigerians don’t know. Economic hardship is still fully around in the country. I said that there will be increase in electricity tariffs, Nigerians will still cry out about the issue of electricity.’’

The cleric warned that unless the government resolve the problems from the root instead of cutting corners things would not improve.
