Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has expressed optimism about the Super Eagles chances against Guinea-Bissau in the return encounter of the AFCON qualifiers on Monday, March 27 (today).

The 23-year-old was an unused substitute in the Super Eagles disappointing 1-0 home defeat to the Djurtus at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja last Friday.

Despite his remarkable form in the French Ligue, the 23-year-old didn't see a single minute of action as Jose Peseiro's side puffed and huffed to an excruciating 1-0 defeat in front of their home fans.

Speaking ahead of the return fixture, the seven-capped Super Eagles Striker expressed his desire to get some game time in order to help the team.

“Yes, I scored two goals against Sao Tome, but this is in the past now, we are all looking forward to the game in Bissau on Monday (today) and hopefully I can get some game time and try to help the team win the game and score goals as well, “ Moffi told The PUNCH

The Super Eagles will lock horns with Djurtus at the Estadio 24 de Setembro at 5:00 pm today.

A win for the 2013 champions will see them reclaim the top spot in Group A.

Nigeria currently sit in second place with six points, one point behind the Djurtus with 7.

Sierra Leone sit in third place with 5 points and Sao Tome and Principe are at bottom of the Group A with 1 point.

The Super Eagles are winless in their last four matches against Algeria, Costa Rica, Portugal, and Sao Tome and Principe.
