Missing Babcock varsity student found after public outcry

A student of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Oladipupo Siwajuola, who was announced missing, has been found.

His mother, Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo, had announced on Facebook on Saturday, seeking assistance on his whereabouts.

Giving an update, she said, “My son has been found.”

Meanwhile, the Director of Marketing and Communications for the university, Dr Joshua Suleiman, has revealed that the institution received the news with cheers.

However, details regarding how and where the student was found remain sketchy as of the time of filling this report.

Omotayo, crying profusely during a live Facebook video on Saturday, had called on members of the public as well as the security agencies to help locate her son.

She stated that she dropped off her son at the school on the evening of Sunday, April 27, 2025.

She said, “The members of the public should please help tell Babcock University to produce my son. I dropped him off at the school by myself on Sunday evening, but for the past three day, I have not been able to sleep as I cannot find my son.”
