A video is circulating on social media of a man taxing market women N500 for a campaign for Bola Tinubu.

According to him, the fee was ordered by Tinubu's daughter, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja of Lagos, to attend a campaign rally happening the next day for her father, Bola Tinubu.

The man guarding the entrance of a yet-to-be-identified market told the women that everyone had to pay N500 before they were allowed entry to sell their goods.

When quizzed about the use of the levy, the man said it was for a planned rally to Alausa the following day.

A market woman was heard pleading with the man who was bent on collecting the campaign fee, to allow her enter and that she will pay him later after making some sales.

The rally which took place on Monday, October 3, had the presence of the market women, the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his wife among other dignitaries.

In another video making rounds, the market women were seen been bused from an undisclosed location to the rally ground.

This is in contrary to comments made by member of the APC, Ayo Oyalowo during an interview with Channels Television, that the rally was not planned and that the women were present on their own free will.

Meanwhile, a Twitter user claimed the market women were coerced to bring at least 20 people for the rally.

Another tweeted that, “Women are being threatened with having their shop spaces revoked should they fail to comply with the order. Majority of them have been massively induced monetarily.”

A tweet also said that "Tinubu’s daughter threatened to close some market women’s shops/Markets if they don't Join Women's really for Tinubu.
