A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has said he cannot describe the type of human beings "we have been raising in the Southeast since the end of the Civil War in 1970.
According to a post on his Facebook page, many of them no longer act like human beings with common sense.
Igbokwe said this in reaction to their rejection of a statement by Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, who revealed that 99.9 per cent of the killings in Igbo land is carried out by Igbo people.
He wrote, "His Excellency Governor Chukwuma Soludo just told our people in Anambra State that 99% of people killed in our State from 2015 to 2025 was carried out by our people.
"Now, how did he arrive at this? He set a 20-man Committee led by Professor Chidi Odinkalu and the Secretary, Barrister Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, the wife of the late Ikemba Nnewi, HE Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
"The Committee submitted a damning report that Anambrans killed Anambrans and nothing else. But some carpenters and bricklayers in Anambra State will not listen. They will rather heap the blame on Fulani Herdsmen.
"Many of these efulefus even suggested that I raised down my home in Nnewi so that people will donate money for me.
"Brethren, I do not know how to describe the type of human beings we have been raising in the Southeast since the end of the Civil War in 1970. Many of them do not act like human beings with common sense anymore or what IGBO I know call Ako na Uche.
"In the Social Media, they disgrace us with reckless abandon. It is looking as if we are a mob without common sense, even though common sense is not common. May we never be a tribe of anything goes."
