Mané, Jackson headline Senegal’s 2026 World Cup squad

Sadio Mané, and Nicolas Jackson headline Teranga Lions of Senegal squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Head coach Pape Thiaw named a balanced squad packed with experience, youthful energy and attacking firepower.

Thiaw also named several established stars, including goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, defensive stalwart Kalidou Koulibaly, midfield sensation Pape Matar Sarr, and tricky winger Ismaïla Sarr in his squad.

Mané and Jackson will spearhead the attack, with Iliman Ndiaye and Bamba Dieng adding further firepower as Senegal aim to unsettle some of the world’s football heavyweights.

The Teranga Lions have been drawn in Group I alongside former world champions France, Norway, and Iraq.

Senegal will kick off their World Cup campaign with a mouthwatering clash against France on June 16 at the MetLife Stadium before facing Norway on June 22.

The West Africans will wrap up their Group I campaign against Iraq on June 26.
