Maltina partners STEM Africa Fest for school tour

Maltina has launched a nationwide Nourishment Tour aimed at reaching one million students across Nigeria as part of activities marking the brand’s 50th anniversary.

The first phase of the initiative began on February 9, 2026, with visits to schools in Lagos, while subsequent phases will extend the programme to other parts of the country.

According to the organisers, the tour was designed to highlight the role of proper nutrition in helping students remain confident, creative and actively engaged in learning.

The programme features hands-on science experiments facilitated in partnership with STEM Africa Fest to demonstrate how everyday nutrition supports children’s growth, creativity and energy.

Students participating in the programme are also given bottles of Maltina, now available in 25cl and 50cl PET bottles designed for easy inclusion in school routines.

The second phase of the tour began on March 9, 2026, at Government Comprehensive Junior College, Agege; Ikeja Senior Grammar School, Oshodi; Surulere Junior Secondary School; and United Missionary Comprehensive College, Molete, Ibadan.

United Missionary Comprehensive College is the alma mater of Maltina ambassador and media personality Oluwabukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, who joined the tour at the Ibadan school to promote healthy nutrition habits among students.

During the visit, students participated in interactive science experiments demonstrating how nutrients from food and beverages such as Maltina are released and used by the body.

The Maltina Nourishment Tour will continue across the country, with students at each location expected to participate in science-based learning activities illustrating the role of vitamins and minerals in growth, learning and overall wellbeing.

Highlights from the tour will also be shared on digital platforms as part of a long-term programme aimed at supporting students’ nourishment and development.

Speaking on the initiative, the Portfolio Manager, Non-Alcoholic Drinks at Nigerian Breweries Plc, Elohor Olumide-Awe, said the tour forms part of the brand’s anniversary activities and aims to strengthen engagement with schools and communities.

“The Maltina Nourishment Tour is part of Maltina’s 50th year anniversary initiatives and it goes beyond school visits; it is about building meaningful connections with schools and communities across Nigeria while helping students understand the important link between nourishment and learning. As a nourishing malt drink enriched with Vitamins A, B, C and Calcium, Maltina supports the energy and focus students need to grow and thrive. Through the Nourishment Tour, we are bringing science to life and helping students see how what they consume fuels curiosity, thinking, and active learning. This initiative reflects Maltina’s long-standing commitment to nourishing young minds, with a clear plan to spark interest in science and continue to create meaningful impact across schools and communities for years to come,” Olumide-Awe said.

As Maltina marks 50 years in Nigeria, the Nourishment Tour highlights the brand’s focus on promoting nutrition and supporting students’ development across the country.
