Madubuko resigns from Dangote Sugar Refinery

Company Secretary, Chioma Madubuko has stepped down from Dangote Sugar Refinery.

This was contained in a statement by the firm to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Madubuko's resignation is effective today, January 2nd 2020.

While no reason has been given for her resignation, the board of directors accepted her resignation. They also wished her well in her future endeavors.

Chioma Madubuko served the Company for 12 years.

On November 5, 2019, Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) divulged plans to merge with its subsidiary, Savannah Sugar Company Limited.

The board of directors recommended that the business combination would occur through a scheme of external restructuring which would then result in the merger.

However, the scheme was subject to the approval of the shareholders of both companies and regulatory approval of authorized agencies.
