Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has revealed his best goal at the 2023 African Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast.

The Atalanta forward, who made his debut in the Nations Cup, had an impressive campaign in Ivory Coast, scoring three goals to propel Nigeria to the finals.

The 26-year-old netted a brace against Cameroon, securing a 2-0 victory for the Super Eagles in the round of 16.

He later scored the lone goal against Angola in the quarterfinals to help Nigeria progress to the semifinals, where they won via a shootout against South Africa.

Lookman's stellar performances earned him a spot in the Team of the Tournament.

Reflecting on his performance during the tournament, the ex-Leicester City forward handpicked his second goal against Cameroon as his highlight.

“I'm very happy. Obviously being an attacking player, you always want to help the team in that way, so I'm very glad. I was happy to do that, and the team was amazing; everybody helped out,” he told Calister Enejele.

“The second goal against Cameroon, I think, with the celebrations and everything after that, it was crazy with the team. That was probably the highlight.”
