Delta state drivers are lamenting the poor state of the road which has left several of them stranded for over seven days.

A video showing the longest traffic in the country has been spotted on Ukom junction, Agbor, Delta state and this is as a result of the bad road which has been left unattended for several months.

This situation prevents trucks and other heavy duty vehicles from passing through.

Content creator, Lucky David Udu who captured the scene took to his social media page to share the terrible situation sighted in Delta state.

According to him, these drivers are left in the hands of mosquitoes as they resort to sleeping in the open.

Some of the drivers who he spoke to said they have been in traffic for over seven days.

Whiles complaining of the failure of government to repair the roads, a driver hinted that for all the stress they go through, he is been paid N5,000 at the end of the month.

Other drivers stressed the need for the Delta state government to immediately repair the road which is preventing them from completing their journeys.

Since the video hit the internet, Nigerians have slammed the Delta state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa who is also the vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

Many called out the Governor for failing to meet the needs of the people in his own state.

Below are some reactions.

iamslimbrown: This same people will still collect 5k and vote their oppressors or vote terrible leaders because of tribe. At the end of the day all tribes will follow the same bad or good roads. Sad

obaksolo:1week God Yet OKOWA wants to go for presidency 5k monthly

jnrpope: And criminals in PDP/APC are busy stealing funds and buying house’s abroad……. Sincerely it will be in our interest and in the interest of the country to have any thieving politician face a firing squad……..

i.am.differenttt: Guysss....don't be decieved by the 5k SALARY. Most times they make over 20k on their trip commission per trip. (Well my own drivers). Sometimes some companies pay 100k salary but most of the drivers become lazy and keep lying abt truck having issues just to wait for free salary. But if u base dem on trip commission, they are eager to work. My own driver make over 150k on commission base every month. Regardless, that 5k is like a monthly incentive sha

piremb: And I see people posting Okowa for Vice President, the problem is Nigerians never learn from EXPERIENCE, we only learn from REGRET. Una well done oo

biod_un: And their incumbent governor is atiku's running mate for Vice President, the responsibility he has he hasn't done it and he is lobbying for a bigger position. Is this not madness, this is even enough reason to have him withdrawn from the race. Soo bad
