Lockdown is to limit COVID-19 spread- Police explains

The Nigeria Police Force has educated the general public on the essence of the lockdown, saying its essence is to limit the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus.

Frank Mba, Public Relations Officer for the Nigerian Police said that lockdown was designed to protect lives and properties.

He made this statement in a video where he urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies especially in the worst-hit like states Lagos, Abuja and Ogun.

Promising the general public a fresh start to their old lives, he asked the people to comply with the lockdown measures.

"The measures of lockdown is designed to protect lives and properties and limit the spread of this dangerous virus. They are to protect our community and it is for our own good," Mba stressed.

"It is for a short while. Every soon, we will be back to our normal lives and do all the things that we are currently missing. Let's all walk this short journey and come out victorious," the new PRO explained.
