Lere Olayinka, an aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has slammed presidential candidate Peter Obi for saying Spain's World Cup win is a birthday gift to him.

Obi recently clocked 65, a few days before Spain defeated Argentina to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup in America.

"This is yet another fitting birthday gift, further demonstrating that the youth have not only arrived but are proving that excellence, when given the opportunity, will always prevail.
