Lere Olayinka has mocked those who said his principal, the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, will be too strong to control as Vice President.

It would be recalled that when Wike lost the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential ticket, many expected the party to make him running mate to the eventual winner, former vice president Atiku Abubakar.

However, Atiku opted for the immediate past governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, as his running mate.

According to some quarters, Atiku's choice was better because Wike would have been difficult for him to control.

Two years after Atiku lost the presidential election, Okowa, whom he chose as running mate, abandoned him for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reacting, Olayinka, who serves as Wike's media aide, took to X to mock developments in the PDP.

He said, "They told us then that Wike will be too strong as Vice President, it will be difficult to control him, bla bla bla.

"Person wey never win election dey talk about who will be difficult to control as Vice President.

"Then, too, they termed us as disloyal to the party.

"Since 2003, Atiku has remained the weapon formed against PDP."
