A video has surfaced showing the moment a fight broke out between a lecturer of Niger Delta University and a female student inside a lecture hall in Bayelsa State.
The video showed the student and the lecturer locked in each other's arms, with the lecturer landing punches on the student, who didn't fail to return the same.
The fight continued while students in the lecture hall chanted in excitement and disbelief.
In another video, which captured moments before the actual fight, the student was heard telling the lecturer, "Wetin dey do you? You no get sister for house? Give me my phone o."
After making the statement, the lady walked up to the lecturer and prevented him from leaving the hall, saying, "Where the phone?"
A voice, apparently that of the person who recorded the video, could be heard saying, "Young lady, leave the hall. You were caught cheating, instead of you to leave the hall, you are still saying 'give me my phone'."
According to @ChuksEricE, who shared the video on X, reports have it that the female student was caught engaging in examination malpractice and was instructed to leave the hall.
"However, she refused, insisting on retrieving her phone. When the lecturer denied the request, the student allegedly seized the lecturer’s phone and smashed it on the floor, leaving it damaged," he said.
