Lawyer names three individuals behind VeryDarkMan's arrest

Counsel for social media commentator, Martins Vincent Otse who is known popularly as VeryDarkMan has revealed the names of the individuals responsible for the arrest of his client.

VeryDarkMan was arrested by the police late last week for cyberbullying and defaming actress Tonto Dikeh and socialite Bobrisky. He accused Dikeh of being the face behind the controversial blog, Gistlover. At the same time, he questioned why Bobrisky whom he accused of being gay is walking freely in light of the country's stance on LGBTQ+.

His lawyer whose name isn't known at the time of filing this report said his client has met all the stringent bail conditions given to him.

In a video that has since gone viral, the lawyer said three people were behind the TikToker’s arrest as they had written petitions to several authorities.

The legal practitioner alleged that actresses Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo and singer Samklef are the people behind it and they were pained they lost a previous case against his client.

In the video, the lawyer noted that the conditions to bail the activist were very stringent. He explained that they asked for two top government officers and his family was able to provide them. However, he was not released as they said the overall boss wasn't available to sign.

Another report noted that the police asked for a businessman who owned properties in Abuja. The individual must submit his International passport for one year and N200 million.

The lawyer added the activist was grateful for the outpour of support and love he had received since the ordeal.
