Lalong orders probe into UNIJOS Student's death

Governor of Plateau State, Bako Lalong has mourned the death of Mr Rinji Peter Bala, who was said to have been shot by security personnel along Zaria Road, Jos on 12th May 2020.

Consequently, he directed that a thorough investigation be carried out to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing of the young man. He assured residents that those found culpable will face the law of the land.

The security personnel alleged to have been involved in the incident has been taken into custody for further investigation.

The Governor appealed for calm and commiserated with the family of the late Rinji Bala.

Rinji Bala, a 20-year-old 300 level student of the University of Jos was mistakenly shot by a sentry of the Operation Safe Heaven at its office along Zaria Road, Jos.
