Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the reinstatement of monthly environmental sanitization in the state.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, made this announcement during a press briefing.

According to Wahab, the State Executive Council granted approval and announced that the sanitation exercise would commence soon.

“Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the state executive council have approved the re-introduction of the monthly sanitation. The governor will officially announce it for the exercise to commence this month,” Wahab said.

It was reported that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the state stopped in 2016.
