The Lagos State Government has resumed the rehabilitation of damaged sections along the Eti-Osa/Lekki/Epe Expressway, from Admiralty Way Junction to Jubilee Bridge, Ajah.
The scope of work includes desilting blocked drains, milling failed asphalt surfaces, provision of crushed stone bases at affected sections, laying of new asphaltic wearing courses, lane markings and kerb painting.
The project covers a 15-kilometre dual carriageway with an average width of 12 metres. Already, over 2.5 kilometres of the Lagos-bound carriageway has been completed in less than two weeks, demonstrating the State Government’s commitment to timely delivery and high construction standards.
Upon completion, the rehabilitation will restore full lane capacity, improve traffic flow, improve road safety and deliver a smoother and faster commute for millions of road users.
The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and other relevant agencies, has implemented a comprehensive Traffic Management Plan.
Motorists are advised to cooperate with traffic officials and comply with all traffic instructions during the rehabilitation period.
