Lagos discharges 67 COVID-19 patients

The Lagos State Ministry of Health has announced the discharge of at least 67 coronavirus patients from isolation centres in the state.

The announcement was made by the health ministry on its official Twitter on Saturday evening.

According to the ministry's statement, "67 #COVID19Lagos patients; 22 females & 45 males; including 3 foreign nationals - 2 IndiansFlag of India & a ChineseFlag of China have been discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

"The patients; 24 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 22 from Onikan, 11 from Agidingbi, 2 from Lekki & 8 from LUTH Isolation Centres have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19

As it stands, the total "number of discharged patients has risen to 608."

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control - NCDC, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country 5445 infections, at least 1320 recoveries and 171 deaths as at the time of this report.
