Lagos council boss seeks residents cooperation

Mr David Odunmbaku, Chairman, Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, has called for the cooperation of residents in the area to achieve his campaign promises.

Odunmbaku made the call on Thursday at the council secretariat during a familiarisation meeting with officials of Community Development Associations (CDAs) and Community Development Committees (CDCs).

The council boss reassured that he would ensure that all his campaign promises were kept to the latter.

He also promised to address the challenges of insecurity, bad roads, flooding and bad drainage systems affecting the area.

Odunmbaku, however, called on the residents to ensure adequate cooperation needed to achieve positive results were given to the council officials.

He assured that all resources at his disposal would be deployed toward safeguarding life and property of the residents.

Similarly, he said that the impact of COVID-19 would be reduced while vaccination made available to all.

“Also, we are going to make sure that our public schools are ICT compliant with the infusion of skills acquisition and vocational training.

“Uplifting the standard of our public health centres with more doctors and provision of subsidised drugs is paramount to us, ” he said

Earlier, the CDA and CDC officials had acquainted Odunmbaku with their expectations, needs and requests as they affect their respective communities.
