Labour Union protesters pull down National Assembly gate

A video has emerged of the National Labour Union protesters pulling down the gate of the national assembly.

This occurred as the residents stormed the streets to embark on a nationwide protest following the hardship in the country, as a result of the subsidy removal.

Members of the NLC, civil society organisations (CSOs) and its councils across the states reportedly converged at the Ikeja Under-bridge to protest the fuel subsidy removal and the soaring cost of living in the country.

Efforts by the federal government to halt the planned strike and protest proved futile.

The protesters who are flagged by heavy security personnel pulled down the gate leading to the national assembly which prevented them from making their way through.
