The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), popularly known as KAI, has reacted to a viral video circulating on social media that shows a KAI operative accepting cash bribes from detained environmental offenders in one of their Green Maria trucks.
In a statement on Friday, KAI said the operative identified in the video has been summoned and placed on operational leave pending internal investigations to be undertaken by the Agency's Provost and Administrative Department in line with extant rules of the Lagos State Civil Service.
Corps Marshal of the Agency, Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd), reiterated zero tolerance for indiscipline and all forms of corruption, and promised a speedy investigation into the viral video.
The Agency assured Lagosians of continuous and improved service delivery in alignment with the THEMES+ agenda of Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to make Lagos habitable for business.
