- Abdulrazaq said Nigeria cannot afford to have its security agents demoralized as criminals can take advantage of such a situation

Amid the violence and looting trailing the #EndSARS protest, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state has appealed to Nigerians not to turn their back against the police and other security agencies.

Channels TV reported that the Kwara state governor submitted that the worst policeman is better than the best criminal.

According to him, the majority of the officers are patriots who are equally committed to a greater Nigeria.

Legit.ng gathers that Governor Abdulrazaq stated this on Wednesday, October 28, while receiving the three senators representing the north-central state at the National Assembly.

The lawmakers paid him a visit over the destruction of properties and looting of the warehouses and malls by suspected hoodlums.

Abdulrazaq said the events of the past few weeks, especially the #EndSARS protest, should not be framed in a way that might leave officers and men of the police demoralized or dejected.

According to him, demoralizing the security forces, especially the police, might play into the hands of criminals who prefer anarchy to hurt their victims.

Meanwhile, after widespread attacking and looting of public and private properties in the country, the Nigeria Police Force has swung into action, making massive arrests.

In Kwara state, the police command on Monday, October 26, paraded no fewer than 144 persons in connection with the violent attack and looting which took place in Ilorin.

Recall that hoodlums under the guise of #EndSARS protest laid siege on Ilorin metropolis on Friday, October 23, by attacking government warehouses, the office of the state Nigeria Customs Service Command, Shoprite mall and others.
