Kwankwasiyya member gives reason for not supporting OK ticket

A Kwankwasiyya named Abubakar Yunusa has given reason why he is leaving the Kwakwansiyya movement.

According to him, he cannot stand the fact that the movement's leader, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, agreed to become the running mate to the Nigerian Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi.

He shared on Facebook, "From today, I am leaving the Kwankwasiyya movement, God willing. I spent 17 years in it, and under Kwankwaso I received free education. The issue is not because of Sardauna; rather, I have been deeply troubled since the day Kwankwaso agreed to become Peter Obi's Vice Presidential candidate.

This is a humiliation to us and a disrespect to the political standing of Northern Nigeria—that Kwankwaso would agree to be Obi's Vice President. Who is Obi even in the South, let alone in the North? How many comrades, lawmakers, senators, and governors has he produced or mentored through his political structure in this country?

Today, I have reached my limit and can finally express what has been in my heart. Just as our leader organized scholarship programs and carried out charitable works for us, may Allah bless him and reward him with nothing but Paradise.
