Kogi attack: Bello orders security agencies to fish out perpetrators

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has ordered security agencies to fish out those behind the Tawari attack.

This is contained in a statement issued in Lokoja, the state capital, by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Onogwu Muhammed.

Condemning the attack, Bello stated that anyone planning to create crisis in the state will have himself to blame. He also revealed that his administration is bent on erasing bandits and criminality from the state.

The governor advised citizens of the state to remain calm and law abiding because his administration will ensure the perpetrators of the attack will be fished out.

The Police Command revealed that the attack saw the destruction of 28 houses and vehicles in Tawari community located in Kogi Local Government Area.

This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Williams Anya.

He also revealed that some lives were lost in the cause of the attack by gunmen on Tawari Community on Thursday night.
