Simon Ekpa, the Biafra agitator, has vowed to avenge the death of three young men who were reportedly killed in the southeast on suspicion that they were members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In a report by Saharareporters on Monday, the Enugu state police command announced that combined security forces killed three members of the Eastern Security Network of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra who were planning to enforce the “illegal sit-at-home” in the state.

According to the police the young men were killed during a gunfight with the security agent on Monday, September 18.

However, the residents of Mgbowo community in the Awgu local government area of Enugu State countered the police assertion saying that there was no shootout in the area as they believe it was an extrajudicial killing.

They claim the security operatives came to the community, arrested their sons in their houses, and led them out.

Reacting to the incident, Simon Ekpa vowed to avenge the death of the three men who were reportedly killed with claims that they were enforcers of the infamous sit-at-home.

Ekpa wrote on his X page on Tuesday, September 19; "The killing of these 3 innocent Biafrans will be avenged. They are not part of Biafra Liberation Army, but the Nigeria terrorist @HQNigerianArmy abducted them, killed, and labelled them sit at home enforcers.

The order has been giving and we will not stop until all Nig security agents leave Biafra land."
