Keyamo is dishonest and ignorant - Reno Omokri fires

A former aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has called on the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee to strip Festus Keyamo, chief spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council of the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Omokri said that Keyamo is dishonest and ignorant for defending Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC) after the release of court documents that suggested Mr. Tinubu’s ties to illicit drug business and money laundering in the United States.

In a statement, Omokri said the Disciplinary Committer "should intervene and apply sanctions on Mr. Keyamo to save the legal profession from going into disrepute".

"The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee ought to preserve its dignity by stripping Festus Keyamo off the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria for his dishonest and ignorant assertion that Tinubu’s Drug Money forfeiture was simply just tax. Failure to do so will devalue the rotor of SAN!"

"And the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee should intervene and apply sanctions on Mr. Keyamo to save the legal profession from going into disrepute. Saying that a KNOWN DRUG LORD’s drug forfeiture is just tax is the height of quackery!"

"Festus Keyamo, by trying to stand logic on its head, by claiming that a criminal forfeiture of $460,000 drug money laundered by Bola Tinubu on behalf of a Chicago white heroin drug cartel was a tax payment has shown that he is not a fit and proper person deserving of the title SAN!"
