Kenyatta betrayed Kanu over financial and oil benefits - IPOB alleges

Kenya has been accused of arresting and extraditing Nnamdi Kanu Kenya has been accused of arresting and extraditing Nnamdi Kanu

Emma Powerful, the spokesman for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has given more details as it concerns the arrest of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall the leader of the secessionist group was arrested on Sunday, June 27, 2021, outside British jurisdiction. Reports went rife he was arrested in Kenya after his brother disclosed it in a statement.

Announcing his arrest to the public, the Federal Government through the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) said Nnamdi Kanu was intercepted at an undisclosed location and subsequently extradited to Nigeria.

Details of his arrest have been scanty since. However, on Tuesday, July, 6, Emma Powerful alleged Kenyetta betrayed Kanu over financial and oil inducement from the Nigerian government.

IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful made this public in a statement:

“From our intelligence, Kenya betrayed our Leader because of financial inducement and offer of oil by Nigeria.

“The negotiations was midwifed by the Nigerian Ambassador in Nairobi who bargained with President Uhuru kenyatta and the Kenyan Immigration Authorities. Uhuru Kenyetta was blinded by the oil money offer and he consented to this wickedness.

“The Kenya President, Uhuru kenyatta, and Ambassador to Nigeria should be ashamed of themselves for betraying an innocent man because of money. But we assure them that they will pay heavily for this treachery!”
