Kano ex-Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje appointed APC National Chairman

The immediate past governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has been appointed as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

His appointment comes shortly after Senator Abdullahi Adamu resigned as national chairman in the third week of July following the conflict he had with the G5.

The National Executive Caucus (NEC) made this known during the meeting held in Abuja today.

According to Sahara reporters, President Bola Tinubu had shown interest in Ganduje succeeding Adamu.

Senator Ajibola Basiru has also been rectified as the National Secretary of the APC.

SaharaReporters reported that insiders in the APC meeting revealed that the decision was not accepted by many members of the NWC present at the Caucus meeting as they raised concerns over the Muslim-dominated structure of Tinubu’s government of the ruling party.
