The All Progressives Congress in Kano State has recorded what it described as a major milestone as key stakeholders affirmed and endorsed the newly elected State Executive Committee.
The development was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
According to the statement, “Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the
Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, congratulated the new executives and described their emergence as a major steps towards strengthening unity and stability within the party in Kano State.
“They commended party members for conducting what they called a peaceful and successful congress, noting that the outcome reflected the collective will of APC supporters across the state,” the statement further read.
Prominent stakeholders, including Murtala Sule Garo, Tijjani Gwarzo, and Abba Kabir Bichi, alongside other party leaders, also pledged their support to the new State Executive Committee.
The stakeholders stressed the need for reconciliation, cooperation, and collective responsibility to reposition the party for future electoral success in the state.
They urged the newly elected executives to carry all members along and ensure fairness, transparency, and inclusiveness in the conduct of party affairs.
“The unity displayed during the affirmation process sends a strong signal that the APC in Kano State is now more focused and determined to work as one family,” the statement read in parts.
The stakeholders further called on party members at all levels to rally behind the new leadership for the progress and growth of the party.
