Just In: Source reveals who may become Tinubu's Attorney General of Federation

Sources has revealed that President Bola Tinubu is ready to forward the long-awaited ministerial list to the national assembly today, Thursday, July 27, 2023

According to multiple sources, Lateef Fagbemi is likely to become the choice of President Tinubu's attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.

APC lead counsel to become AGF Fagbemi is the lead counsel defending the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the ongoing hearing at the 2023 presidential election petition court.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is a well-respected lawyer who has handled many cases on election matters.

Shortly after the February 25 presidential election, the APC's legal adviser, Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq, Esq., stated: “The legal team consisting of twelve (12) Senior Advocates of Nigeria and the National Legal Adviser of the Party, Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq, Esq., is led by Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, a renowned lawyer who has successfully handled various high-profile election matters and other landmark cases.”

How Fagbemi became APC, Tinubu lead counsel

President Tinubu was was declared the 2023 presidential election by INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu.

Tinubu's victory was not accepted by some opposition parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party.

They have cited electoral fraud and are asking the petition court to declare their candidates, Atiku Abubakar (PDP) and Peter Obi (Labour Party), as winner of the election in separate petitions.
