Nigeria and Rangers striker, Joe Aribo says he is glad he got on the scoresheet for his side and hopes to continue his fine form until the end of the season.

His goal helped Rangers maintain their 100 percent Scottish Premiership home record as they defeated Hibernian at Ibrox on Sunday.

Aribo who was pulling the strings from midfield had efforts from long-range fly over the bar on 19 minutes, before eventually scored a few minutes later, Brila.net said.

Hibs goalkeeper Ofir Marciano made a double save from Alfredo Morelos and Roofe before Joe Aribo finally beat him with a volley from 12 yards.

“It has been a long time coming, I want to keep scoring goals every single game I play and I’m happy for myself that I could get the opening goal for the team. It’s a nice finish and I just watched it. I’m just glad that I scored.” Aribo told Rangers TV after the game.

Ryan Kent added scored the second in the second half with a classy strike after dancing away from the attempted tackles before, from 25-yards, blasting a powerful curling drive beyond Marciano.

'It was a good goal from Ryan, although, we had some good moments, we got into the penalty box and we just need to be a bit more clinical and make sure the final pass is up to standard to get the goals.”

“It was a big disappointment not to get a clean sheet, but we stay strong and keep fighting” Aribo concluded.
