A supreme court ruling has affirmed the elections of State Governors of Benue and Adamawa State; Samuel Ortom and Ahmadu Fintiri, respectively.

Ortom's election which was challenged on grounds of substantial noncompliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act was dismissed by a seven-man panel led by Olabode Rhodes-Vivour.

In a similar vein, the appeal by Jibrilla Bindow, APC candidate in the Adamawa gubernatorial election was struck out.
