Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has stated that it would be a shame if Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen ends up in Saudi Arabia this summer.
The 26-year-old is set to return to his parent club, Napoli, after a sensational loan spell with Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.
The former African Footballer of the Year racked up an astonishing 37 goals in 41 competitive appearances for the Yellow and Reds after joining the club in early September.
The Super Eagles striker is expected to leave the Naples-based club this summer, with interest from the Premier League and the Saudi Pro League.
However, Mikel Obi believes that his countryman still has a lot to offer in Europe.
“I hope there is still a Premier League move for him this summer,” Mikel Obi told Metro.
“I don’t want to see him in Saudi right now because he still has so much to offer in Europe.
“It would be a shame to see him go there. So maybe Arsenal, United, Juventus, and PSG too [are his options]. Let’s see what happens.”
