Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina, has slammed the officials involved in his side's clash against Leicester City following Taiwo Awoniyi's abdominal injury.
Aina and Awoniyi are teammates at the club and International level, and both players were on the pitch when the former Union Berlin striker clashed against the woodwork under pressure from Facundo Buonanotte when he tried to latch onto a pass from Anthony Elanga.
Awoniyi tried to continue the game, but he was in so much pain and had to be withdrawn. Forest ended the game with ten men as they'd already used up the maximum number of substitutes allowed. This further led to a clash between the club coach, Nuno Espirito Santo and the club owner, Evangelos Marinakis.
The former Liverpool striker had surgery Monday night after it was confirmed that he'd ruptured an intestine. He was then placed into an induced coma, and the remainder of the procedure was completed on Wednesday.
