The convener of All Progressives Congress (APC) South-East Coalition, Francis Okoye believes the election in Bayelsa can be won by any of the two leading political parties in the state.

Mr Okoye made the comment in an interview with Legit.

According to him, both parties and candidates have what it takes to emerge victorious in the polls.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Governor Douye Diri would challenge Chief Timipre Sylva, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 11 elections.

He opined thus: "As for Bayelsa, it is a 50-50 for PDP and APC. "Both parties have what it takes to win in Bayelsa state, so it can go either way."

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the APC in Oyo state, Wasiu Olawale Sadare is confident that the party will emerge victorious against all odds in the November 11, off-season elections.

Speaking on Sylva's chances against Diri, in a chat with Legit.ng on Saturday, September 30, said: "In all the three states where gubernatorial elections are holding in November, APC is the party to beat and all other political parties know this fact. Let us keep our fingers crossed as we approach the big day."
