Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK, has reacted to the backing received by Victor Giadom from the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

Giadom's claim to the position of acting national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had been facing stiff opposition from a faction of the party's National Working Committee, NWC, who named an ex-governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, for the position.

However, Giadom received a major boost today when Buhari agreed to attend a virtual meeting organized by his faction slated for tomorrow.

In a statement issued by the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari said that Giadom's claim is backed by the law.

In reaction, Femi Fani-Kayode stated that the development simply means a retirement for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a chieftain of the APC.

He tweeted: "First Oshiomole is kicked out by the Court of Appeal. Then his preferred replacement, Ajimobi, falls into a coma. Then his arch rival, Giadom, is recognised by Buhari as Nat. Chairman.

"Conclusion: it is over for Tinubu. He has been thrown under the bus & retired from politics!".
