Professor Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner of Health, has said that it is not a crime to catch COVID-19.
 Abayomi made this known while addressing newsmen on the effort of the state in its fight against COVID-19.
 The Commissioner also revealed that the state has ramped up COVID-19 testing to 1000 per day and that 16,000 tests have been conducted so far.

 "If you have COVID-19, let us know so that we can care for you.
 "It's not a crime to catch #COVID-19. It is not a death sentence.
 "So far, we have conducted 16'000 test in Lagos. We intend to ramp up testing to 1000 test per day very soon.
 "COVID-19 test in Lagos is free of charge", he added.
