Inibehe Effiong promotes violent Nepal protest, Seyi Law says 'start in your region'

Comedian Seyi Law and human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong have shared opposing views concerning the riots and protests in Nepal.

MyNigeria gathered that the protests erupted after the Nepali government last week banned 26 social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook, for failing to meet a deadline to register with Nepal's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.

The protests have led to the destruction of infrastructure and attacks on politicians in the country, as Nepal's Gen Z took to the streets to express their grievances.

Going through Inibehe Effiong's posts on X, it is noticed that the lawyer and activist has been sharing posts about the protests in Nepal.

In one post, he said, "In Nepal, corrupt politicians and police escape by helicopter," while in another, he said, "In Nepal, citizens storm Communist Party headquarters and tear down hammer and sickle flag."

An X user, @TruthBeToldOO1, cautioned the lawyer to stop promoting chaos as a way to achieve a successful revolution.

The X user said, "Inibehe Effiong, stop hyping this Nepal chaos like it’s a blueprint for success. Revolutions just breed more violence and instability, not solutions. Elections are the only legit way to change a government, not this reckless burning and rioting nonsense. Truth be told."

In response, Inibehe said, "Elections? Rigged elections, you mean? Be serious, please. If you don’t want people to revolt, do not create or support conditions that lead to revolution."

Meanwhile, MyNigeria noticed Comedian Seyi Law also shared posts concerning the protests in Nepal. According to him, those egging Nepal on don't know that their beloved politicians could also be affected by the chaos they are inciting.

He wrote, "They are happy about Nepal until rebuilding becomes a problem. They will never learn from Libya. They think revolution won't affect the politicians they love. Keep fanning what you can't sustain, and remember to start in your region.

"They will show you burnt buildings and politicians beaten, but they won't tell you that Nepalese are regretting now. Iconic structures have been destroyed, criminals escaped, women raped, and their properties looted. They're already claiming the protest was hijacked. Like Gehgeh, had I known is the last comment of a fool."
