Global smartphone brand Infinix has deepened its presence in Nigeria with the opening of a flagship retail outlet at Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja, a move the company says reinforces its commitment to innovation, lifestyle technology, and community engagement.
The launch, held on Sunday, showcased the brand’s latest premium offering, the Infinix GT 30 Pro, a gaming-focused flagship device designed for performance enthusiasts.
Speaking at the event, Retail Manager of Infinix Nigeria, Bamidele Akande, explained that the Abuja flagship store was carefully positioned in the nation’s capital to strengthen the brand’s ties with its growing customer base. “Jabi Lake Mall represents a vibrant mix of lifestyle, technology, and entertainment. For us, this store is more than a retail outlet; it’s an experience hub,” Akande said.
The new facility features immersive zones where visitors can explore smartphones, accessories, and Infinix’s wider AIoT ecosystem. It also boasts a dedicated gaming studio for the brand’s fan community.
“Infinix is more than a phone brand. It is a lifestyle brand that listens, innovates, and connects with people.
Today is proof of that, and we are just getting started,” Akande added.
Highlighting the day’s unveiling, PR Manager for Infinix Nigeria, Oluwayemisi Ode, described the GT 30 Pro as a collector’s item crafted for gamers and performance seekers. She revealed that the device delivers stable 120 to 144 FPS gameplay, certified by top titles including PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Mobile Legends.
Powered by a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor with advanced 3D Vapour Cooling, the GT 30 Pro features a 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, pro-level GT triggers, JBL dual speakers, and motion controls. It also comes with a 108MP AI camera and a 5500mAh battery supporting both fast and wireless charging.
To enhance its exclusivity, Infinix announced that only 30 units of the GT 30 Pro will be available in Nigeria. The ceremony was attended by Dr Yomi Omogbehin, Permanent Secretary, Special Duties and Parliamentary Security at the National Assembly, who praised Infinix’s investment in Abuja.
“This flagship store is a testament to Abuja’s rising importance as a hub of commerce and opportunity. This investment creates jobs, empowers young people, and contributes to the city’s growth,” Omogbehin said.
He encouraged Nigerian youths to embrace opportunities in technology and innovation, stressing that dedication and resilience could help them compete globally.
As part of its broader regional gaming strategy, Infinix also announced its partnership with PUBG Mobile to host the inaugural 2025 PUBG Mobile Africa Cup, which concluded in Kenya on September 14 with a prize pool of $8,000.
The GT 30 Pro was the official tournament device, showcasing its capacity to handle competitive gaming at the highest level. Fans also enjoyed a Gaming Fan Festival, which featured cosplay, cheer squads, and prize draws, underlining Infinix’s support for esports and youth culture across Africa.
To mark the Abuja store opening, customers who purchased Infinix devices between September 12 and 13 were entered into raffle draws for home appliances, smartphones, and accessories. The event featured celebrity appearances, including Bisola Aiyeola, Kenny Blaq, Saga Adeolu, Papeeyah, and MC Miti, alongside XCLUB challenges and interactive fan games.
In her closing remarks, Ode emphasised that the Jabi Lake Mall flagship was designed as more than a commercial space.
“The new Infinix store is a hub for innovation, creativity, and community. Launching our GT 30 Pro here is a strong statement that we are committed to driving the future of smart living and performance-driven devices,” she said.
