If you believe Peter Obi, you will believe anything - Journalist Kolade-Otitoju

Veteran journalist Babajide Kolade-Otitoju (BKO) has former presidential candidate Peter Obi, dismissing his recent visit to former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Speaking during TVC News’ Journalist Hangout, Kolade-Otitoju described the visit as purely political despite Obi’s claim that it was not.

He said: “Peter Obi said his presence in Kano was not political, but to celebrate Salah… If you believe that, you’ll believe anything.”

He recalled Obi’s earlier declaration: “Peter Obi said he will not leave APGA… He said he will never leave APGA. Is he still in APGA today? No, he’s not. So, when he says something, you take it with a pinch of salt.”

The journalist argued that Obi and Kwankwaso are likely to align on the same platform for 2027: “The two of them are likely to end up in the same party. Peter Obi said to his supporters last week that he wasn’t sure that he would get the ticket of ADC. So, he’s preparing their minds… for another movement. He’s preparing their minds, just in case he chooses to become the deputy to the presidential candidate.”

BKO noted the growing momentum: “Many people see ADC as belonging to Atiku… Some call it Atiku Democratic Congress, ADC. So, Peter Obi is not likely to win any primary. He doesn’t, and he cannot spend money the way others spend. So, primaries, not for him. But they’ve always wanted to bring in someone like Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso because… any party that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso joins will become strengthened.”
