'If Peter Obi does not win, forget about the future of Nigeria' - Afenifere warns

An elder statesman and leader of Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo has urge Nigerians to take the election seriously.

According to him, the election shceduled to hold on February 25, is not an ordinary election but one not to take lightly as they are fighting for their freedom.

Ayo Adebanjo is a known supporter of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi as he has been spotted campaigning for votes for the former Anambra state Governor.

In a video making rounds, the stateman said that should Peter Obi lose the election, there would be nothing to call a country.

"Don't take it lightly, you are fighting for your freedom. Its not an ordinary election you are having. If Obi does not win forget Nigeria."

drbtgar: As much as everyone has a right to their vote, this is not a time to vote anyone who feels entitled to be president, not a time to vote anyone who is very old and should be enjoying retirement, it’s not a time to vote anyone who has controlled Nigeria before because they failed. Politicians will come to a realization that their choice of running mate, their party’s previous performance, as well as many other factors, will be taken into account going into the polls. But if Obi losses, politicians will think they can get away with anything.
