Politician and economist, Professor Pat Utomi, has slammed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), saying they distrust technology when it comes to uploading results to the IREV but they trust to use it to confuse the voters register.
According to him, the people are angry everywhere, adding that, "II cannot walk through an airport without people surrounding me and saying this is advance rigging and that they may have to take the laws into their hands."
To avert anarchy, Utomi called on all the political parties to come together and demand a fully clean and transparently displayed register.
"I would also like the international community. especially those who support elections in Nigeria to alert INEC to consequences. It is also important to alert that this is the moral equivalence of genocide and that the International Criminal Court( ICC) be prepared to put on trial INEC officials from clerical levels to the Chairman.
"They may have read Stalin that it is not those who vote but those who count the vote that determine elections but they may be about to learn that those who miscount the votes may be statistics of revolutions stoked by the anger of the people," he shared on X.
