INEC: 661,783 PVCs waiting for collection in Edo

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Edo State has said 661,783 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), consisting of old and new, are yet to be collected.

Head, Voter Education and Publicity in Edo, Timidi Wariowei, said on Tuesday that 409,832 of the PVCs were old, while 251,951 were new.

Wariowei said: “The old uncollected PVCs were 425,239, but 15,407 have been collected, remaining 409,832.

“The new PVCs received were 289,931, but 37,980 have been collected, remaining 251,951.

four hundred and sixty PVCs were collected on January 1, 2023 across the 18 local government areas of Edo State.”

Wariowei said collection of PVCs was ongoing, adding that voters can collect theirs on Saturdays and Sundays (excluding public holidays), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at INEC offices in the 18 LGAs.
