ICE deports Nigerian man over street gang violence, drug sale

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has identified Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, a Nigerian man, as a' criminal illegal alien” with an extensive criminal record that includes violent crimes and gang connections.

In a statement from US immigration authorities, ICE explained that Ijaoba is a Nigerian national and a former Bloods gang member — a group known for violent activities involving firearms across multiple US states.

ICE reports that Ijaoba entered the US illegally and has since accumulated a lengthy record of serious felonies.

His convictions include aggravated assault on a police officer with a firearm, assault, armed robbery, obstruction of justice, drug trafficking, and escaping police custody.

US officials highlighted that these crimes demonstrate a pattern of violent and organised criminal conduct, which threatens public safety.

ICE also revealed that Ijaoba is under a final order of removal and is currently in immigration custody, awaiting deportation to Nigeria.
