Engineer Udengs Eradiri, the candidate of the Labour Party in the governorship election has accused Governor Duoye Diri of using state resources to bribe and induce voters.

Speaking after casting his ballot in the polls, he said the PDP is busy buying votes noting that he won't spend a dime to buy or induce voters.

"The state resources have been used to induce and by voters. The PDP is busy buying votes snapping people's ballot papers and using them to go behind the scenes and pay money."

"There is a lot going on this election that is compromised and I won't use the normal ways to stop them. I won't be violent."

"For me, I won't buy votes and even when I know what is going on, I won't buy votes. People have been impoverished to the extent where you give them five thousand, for me I won't pay one naira."
