Reigning African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman is set to be dropped from Atalanta's squad for their UEFA Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, September 17.
Lookman has not featured in a single game for La Dea this season after falling out with the club over his decision to leave.
The 28-year-old declared his intention not to play for Atalanta again after the club failed to sanction his move to Serie A rivals Inter Milan.
Speaking ahead of Atalanta's Serie A clash with Lecce, manager Ivan Juric disclosed that it is unlikely the former Leicester City forward will feature against the reigning European champions.
“Lookman in Paris? I think not, the situation is unpleasant and not beautiful,” the former Southampton coach told DAZN.
“We need ready-made guys who want to give a lot to the shirt,” the 50-year-old reiterated, as he had opined before the game against Lecce.
Luis Enrique’s PSG side will host Atalanta at the Parc des Princes in their 2025/26 UCL campaign opener.
