I wasn’t LP candidate – Moghalu denounces reports linking him to Anambra guber election

“These reports are false, unfortunate and smack of lazy reporting, as they were apparently conflating Chief George Moghalu, who was the Labour Party candidate in the election, with me,” Moghalu said.

The former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Deputy Governor clarified that he is not a member of any political party, was not a candidate in the November 8, 2025, Anambra governorship election, and has since quit partisan politics.

Moghalu further called on all media outlets that published the misleading reports to issue prompt corrections and retractions.
