'I’ve saved N110bn for the FCT in 3 months' - Wike claims

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that he has saved about N110bn for the FCT in his three months in office.

He made this known on Tuesday, November 21, during a meeting with the Estate Developers and Residents’ Associations in the FCDA Conference Hall in Abuja.

According to him, the money he kept would be used for projects in order to complete them quickly.

He said: “Three months in office, I can tell you authoritatively, I have saved not less than N110 billion for the FCT and this money will be attached to projects so that people will see indeed that the taxes we are paying are being utilized for the interest of the people.”

Wike added that the FCT would be rolling out its buses and taxi scheme in the coming month.
